SEA REMAINS

In this series of underwater still-life, I try to explore the relation between the object and the environment that contains it. Elements of the outside world, find their place in a seemingly inhospitable environment.  At the same time, aquatic creatures, although they are at their ‘’home’’, they seem to want to escape from it.

How can we define ’’natural space’’? The place that we really belong to, is it irrevocably defined? Is there any chance to negotiate our given position in nature, or even try to invert it? The sense that we are integrated somewhere, that we ‘’belong’’, is it enough for us to be considered ‘’normal’’?
